Youth Gaming Facilitators will supervise participants in Sylvan Factory’s Youth Gaming Summer Program. Facilitators are responsible for guiding youth in learning and playing any combination of Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, or other TTRPG one-shots.

Essential Duties

• Supervise and ensure the safety of youth participating in gaming sessions. 
• Facilitate and run TTRPG sessions for youth ages 10-14 utilizing a shared pre-written adventure in the Dungeons and Dragons 2024 system or other youth friendly systems.
• Facilitate and run gaming tables for youth ages 10-14 in game systems such as Magic the Gathering.
• Provide high quality customer service to program participants and caregivers.
• Communicate and cooperate with all members of the Sylvan Factory team.
• Communicate with participant families in order to best support youth needs.

•  Required: Able to pass a criminal background check, central registry clearance, and provide positive references. 
• Enthusiasm for and experience working with youth 
• Interest in learning and personal growth, including giving and receiving feedback to colleagues, and participating in self reflection. 
• Ability and willingness to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
• Experience working with neurodivergent individuals. 
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• One or more of the following: 
• Experience playing Dungeons and Dragons or similar Tabletop RPG systems.
• Experience as a game master for Dungeons and Dragons or similar Tabletop RPG systems. 
• Experience with Magic the Gathering or similar collectible card games. 
• General interest and experience in tabletop games including board games, trading card games, and tabletop roleplaying games.

Sylvan Factory Community Consultants provide an excellent customer service experience to customers, event participants, and community members.

Essential Duties

• Interact with customers in a friendly and outgoing manner
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and event participants
• Familiarity with SquarePOS or equivalent Register systems. 
• Assist the community using varied communication platforms
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment in the store
• Manage and run events in the Sylvan Factory play area
• Other duties as assigned

• Available nights and weekends
• Experience in retail or customer service
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Willingness to learn and receive feedback
• Knowledge of product lines sold within the store
• Ability to lift items over 25 pounds and move throughout the store for the length of a 3 to 5 hour shift
• Ability to arrive on time and stay through the duration of a shift.
