1. Applicants complete a short screening and interview.
2. Selected members go through an orientation and are provided with initial resources.
3. We contact members when there are one-shots, campaigns, and other events that need Storytellers.
4. Sign up for the opportunities you want. Get paid for every game you run.
5. Get discounts, goodies, access to learning resources, and join members-only Discord channels where you can learn from other experienced GMs. 

• Storytellers are paid for every game they run. 
• Access to private Discord channels for shared resources, questions and discussions, and many opportunities to learn from other experienced Storytellers.
• Access to the Sylvan Factory community, game space, materials, and resources. 
• Training, resources, and ongoing opportunities to learn and practice the skills needed to tell great stories. 
• Get experience as a paid game master, a fast growing profession.
• Store discounts and other goodies.

There is a vast world of incredible TTRPG systems to choose from. Members of the Storyteller's Society will help cultivate a community that plays a wide array of games. 

Here are a few examples of games that have demand for storytellers:

• Dungeons and Dragons 5E, 2024 update
• Daggerheart
• No Thank You Evil (and other kids focused TTRPGs) 
• Powered by the Apocalypse games

TTRPG Systems supported by the Storyteller's Society will generally avoid overly adult themes or other topics not deemed appropriate by the community standards at Sylvan Factory. 

We invite an application from any TTRPG enthusiast with experience running games in at least one game system.

Storytellers should be excited and driven to run games for new/inexperienced players, youth and families, women, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, people with differing ability levels, and all players that are not always welcomed into gaming spaces. 

We especially encourage applicants with backgrounds in youth work, education, theater and performance, and other similar areas.
